AIB has appointed Bernard Byrne as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the AIB Group.

Byrne, who will leave his position as group financial and commercial director at ESB to take up his new post in May, will also be a member of the AIB Group Executive Committee.

According to Colm Doherty, AIB Group’s managing director, “His familiarity with our areas of operation coupled with the external perspective he brings to the role will be a major asset to the Group as we position ourselves for the future.”
